Lake Adair Park is located in College Park and is popular with walkers, bikers, joggers, fishermen, birders and many who just enjoy its scenic beauty and wildlife from one of the benches located around the perimeter of the lake.
NOTE: In the summer of 2017 Boy Scout Troop 200 replaced the bird information centers around Lake Adair, and during this process A.K.A. Snake Bird (which formerly occupied this kiosk) flew the coop. Its nesting place has been taken over by A.K.A. Crying Bird. Aramus Guarauna is commonly known as the Limpkin. That name is derived from its seeming limp when it walks. It gets its other common name, Crying Bird, from its vocalization - a loud wild, wail or scream (kwEEEeeer) which has been used for jungle sound effects in Tarzan films.
