The Skyline Walkway is a popular walking trail with specatcular views out over Wellington City and the hills towards Makara. High up on this trail is an old derelict cattle yard.
Cattle yards are places where farmers sort out their stock and sometimes load stock onto trucks. The cattle yards on the Skyline walkway look like they have seen better days. Whether or not this is still used by the farmers to sort and move their stock is debatable. The growth of stinging nettle around the yards suggests they are no longer active. Be careful when searching to avoid getting stung by the nettle. There is wire in the grass as well so be careful. From the cattle yards you will get some spectacular views down over the suburb of Karori and also west towards the Makara skyline.
The cache is a small container. Please keep it well hidden so that muggles don't walk off with it.
