Este cache está localizado há cerca de 200 metros do Terminal 2 do Aeroporto Internacional Salgado Filho. Antigamente este era o único terminal deste aeroporto, mas com a sua ampliação hoje ele é utilizado somente pelas companhias Azul e Trip.
Caso esteja realizando um layover ou chegando com outra companhia, é recomendado utilizar o transporte gratuito do Terminal 1 para o Terminal 2, com saída dos terminais a cada 10 minutos, embora também seja perfeitamente possível fazer o trajeto a pé.
A partir do Terminal 2, são menos de 5 minutos de caminhada até o Sítio do Laçador e o cache. Vale muito a pena conhecer este local tão importante para a história gaúcha.
O cache está localizado próximo ao Sítio do Laçador, um local especialmente construído para abrigar a estátua.
A Estátua do Laçador foi criada a partir de um concurso público para a execução de uma escultura que servisse como um símbolo do Rio Grande do Sul para a Exposição do IV Centenário de fundação da cidade de São Paulo, no Parque Ibirapuera em 1954.
Ela representa o gaúcho tradicionalmente pilchado (indumentária tradicional da cultura gaúcha, utilizada por homens e mulheres de todas as idades) e sua autoria é do escultor Antônio Caringi.
Em 2007 foi realocada para o local atual, próximo de onde está localizado o geocache. Devido a este espaço estar próximo ao Aeroporto Internacional Salgado Filho a estátua passou a recebe maior destaque, além de recepcionar culturalmente os turistas que aqui chegam.
Lembre-se que você está nas proximidades de um Aeroporto Internacional. Embora essa área não seja muito movimentada em circunstâncias normais, aja com a habitual discrição esperada de um geocacher. Não é necessário ultrapassar nenhuma cerca para acessar o cache.
Fotos spoiler são apresentadas, visando evitar um comportamento suspeito por parte do geocacher por um longo período de tempo enquanto estiver procurando pelo cache.

This cache is located approximately 200 meters far from Terminal 2 of Salgado Filho International Airport. This used to be the only terminal of this airport, but in 2001 a new one was built, this one was later renamed to Terrminal 2 and today is only operated by Azul and Trip.
In case you are doing a layover or arriving with another company, it is recommended that you take the shuttle bus from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2. It leaves the terminal each 10 minutes, but you can also safely walk to it.
From Terminal 2, it will take you less than 5 minutes walking to reach the Sítio do Laçador and the cache. It really worths to visit this so important place to the history of Rio Grande do Sul.
The cache is located near the Sítio do Laçador, a place specially built to receive the statue.
The Estátua do Laçador was created from a public tender for the construction of a statue that could be a symbol of Rio Grande do Sul for the Fair or the Fourth Centennial of Foundation of the City of São Paulo, in the Ibirapuera Park in 1954.
The statue represents the Gaúcho wearing traditional clothes (from the Gaúcho culture, wore by men and women of all ages) and his sculptor was Antônio Caringi.
In 2007 it was realocated to the current location, near where the cache is hidden. Once the statue is located near the airport, it started receiving more public attention, and it welcomes those arriving in Rio Grande do Sul.
Just remember that you are near an International Airport. Even though this area usually is not very busy under normal circunstances, please be stealth. It is not needed to trespass any fence to access the cache.
