Geocache Description:

UBIQUITOUS

Adjective - constantly encountered, widespread

This is one of a series of cache hides showcasing some of the more common urban hides.  They are all meant to be easy to find, even for the beginner, and will tell you exactly how the cache has been hidden.  All you have to do is spot it.

Experienced cachers can stop reading now.

If any cache container can be called truly ubiquitous, it is the mint tin! It it the most common type of container in urban environments, isn't particularly creative, and for that reason many cachers dislike them.

So why do they continue to be placed in high numbers?

Well, it's a small container you can buy almost everywhere. It is a somewhat watertight container to which a magnet can be added to increase hide possibilities. And, of course, a little paint, or duct tape, can help it blend in with its surroundings!

One common placement for a magnetic mint tin is the metallic sheath often bolted to telegraph poles. These sheaths are meant to protect wiring running up the outside of the pole from the ground.

Many sheaths have plenty of room for a small container to be placed safely inside, thus attracting the attention of cache owners.

The placement should already be obvious to you when you arrive at GZ, however the provided hint, if you are still having trouble (or are desperate for the First2Find) tells you exactly how the cache has been placed. So now you know what you're looking for, and where it is, go get it!

The cache is next to a car park - so keep a close eye on any geokids if the car park is open. Legal parking is possible right next to the cache (if open), as well as limited street parking. If you are visiting the Bowling Club you can, of course, park there as well. If parking over the road be VERY careful crossing as cars can appear out of nowhere - at speed.

For the most part, the only muggles you will need to worry about are park users on sport days, although occasionally people at the Bowling Club may have a view of the placement.

As it's a micro you will need to bring your own pen / pencil - if you don't sign the log you can't claim the find (no "I forgot" or "my geodog ate it" excuses accepted). And remember to replace it the same way you found it, so the cache is still there for the next cacher. Make sure it's tucked out of sight of passers-by (gently push it a few centimetres down from the top).
