The present building on the corner of Northcote Street and Westgate Road was completed in 1886. Our spiritual forefathers, however, can be traced back to 1650, when the town had a population of 13,000 and was still garrisoned by Parliamentary troops!
You can find more information on the church on the web site http://www.westgatebaptist.org.uk
Although the cache is off the main road there is a road in front of the church which is used so please be careful with your geodogs and kids.
