Ice Breaker 6 Event Cache

Get out the warm socks and mittens. Ice Breaker 6 is approaching

After a mild start to this winter, the ice on Pleasure Lake is now substantial enough to hold a group of people. Now who would venture into Sullivan County, NY to stand on a frozen lake? I imagine that only a handful of geocachers are willing to brave the cold for such an event.

The theme this year? Burning down the house. I have an outbuilding that will be taken down, piece by piece, and consumed in flames. Have you ever enjoyed a bonfire in the middle of a frozen lake? Now's your chance.There will also be ice fishing, curling, and other silly diversions.

What to bring? Beverage of your choice (bring extra as there are always moochers). Sleeping over? A sleeping bag and pajamas.  Fishing? Tip ups and a jig rod, bait.

What will be supplied? Curling stones, chili or stew as usual, a warm place to get out of the cold, beds for some, cot space for others, floor for everyone else to sleep (bring a cot)

If you have a snow shovel, bring it please. Ice skates too. Also, consider bringing a bundle of wood to keep the fire going. We have to stay warm somehow.

This annual event grows each year, and 2016 should be plenty of fun.
