Sheepish Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

asatruar: It had a good run. The trial is completely overgrown in parts and I don't have the energy or patience I had 18 years ago to hack my way through head high brush.

Geocache Description:

The route to the cache will take you through prime bighorn sheep habitat. Please observe any area closure posted at the trailhead. Typically, this is from 15 April to early June. The trail is not heavily traveled, so it can be somewhat overgrown in the summer. It also crosses several areas of rip-rap. The cache is 0.12 mile north of the trail at 5237 feet.

The cache is in a plastic container with a white cover. The original contents are:
car
super balls
unused R/W CD
comb
dental floss
Joe Pass cassette
Spice Girls bangle.
small bear, a relative of the large one.

The trailhead is located at N 46 38.995 W 113 39.203. Due to the nature of the terrain, GPS coverage is sketchy on parts of the trail, but you should be able to get a position as necessary. The actual cache area is unobstructed, and the coordinates were averaged over a half hour period.

You will see a large, altar-like rock in the trail close to the turn off. There may be a tiwaz rune on top, if the resident bear hasn't eaten it. Heed the rune.

Rockclimbing is not mandatory.. If you luck out, the sheep will be home.
