Entrance to the Zoo is at the gift shop. Let the person at the window know you are here to attend the Geocaching event and you will be directed to the Zoo's INDOOR classroom, which I have reserved for our event. The classroom is outside of the 'fee area' of the zoo, so you can attend the event at no cost.
I have arranged with the zoo keepers to have a special 'logbook' for us. Once signed, it will be given to Candy (although not necessarily the same day we sign it). At 32 year's old this February, she is the oldest Sun Bear in North America. I will try to get some photos of her interacting with the logbook. By interacting, I mean Geocaching, bear style. Problem with 'bear style' is that the cache needs maintenance every time it gets visited!!
Come anytime during the event. Bring your lunch if you like. I will 'hang-out' for the four hours to give a nice window of opportunity for those of you seeking a Leap Day event Souvenir.
