Geocache Description:

The cache is a small tube with a logbook and pencil hidden along Coolaney's lovely Riparian Walk.  There is no room for swappables.  Nice easy walk along the river which is suitable for Geocachers of all ages

The Unshin river and its tributaries are a Special Area of Conservation. The Owenbeg river is one of these tributaries,this is the lovely river running through Coolaney. The Unshin and its tributaries are the most important salmon producing rivers in Co. Sligo. The Owenbeg river is the principal spawning and nursery tributary for the Unshin River. The rivers also support a good population of trout.  Keep an eye out for Kingfishers.  FTF: Team Duck Tails Macadonis and Miss Sour Bee, with a very early morning visit. 😀
