For those who may not know, Parkerplus is an icon in the Houston geocaching world.
I met Parkerplus just a few weeks after I started geocaching. I attended an event put on by the equally infamous BaytownBert and after the event Parkerplus gathered a handful of newbies and escorted us around Baytown and LaPorte, showing us the ropes of this wonderful game. A few months later, I posted a question on the Houston Facebook page. I don’t recall the question now, but minutes after posting it, my phone rang, at 11:00 p.m. It was Mr. Parker calling to tell me the answer to my question.
Before ‘retiring’ Parkerplus owned several caches along this walking trail. They were achieved and once I realized this, I decided to put some new ones out and change the name of the series from Pecan Grove Walking Trail to Geocaching with Parkerplus. Happy hunting!
You might want to stay on the walking path past the curve before trying to bushwhack into the woods to find the cache. I think it's a bit clearer that way...though no way has a direct, clear path.
