Geocache Description:

This cache is part of new series of Leap Day 2016 hides by agate mickey. Many people enjoy collecting FTF honors and we realized that getting that FTF claim on Leap Day is a rare opportunity. With that in mind, we placed several of these to publish on Leap Day 2016. Each cache in this series has Leap somewhere in the title. Fast forward 4 years...how about 2020?!?!?! Lol Quoting a movie "Zutilo, we have missed one..."

This cache is dedicated to our son, AJ, cacher name Mars_Rover, who is a graduate of PLHS class of 2013. AJ was a member of the PL Marching Band and Drumline, and for four years, we would walk over to Dan Patch Stadium, take up a piece of grass above the end zone scoreboard and use those awesome end zone high rise seats to view the game, and especially to watch the half time show.

This area provided literally the best seats in the house to see the band make its formations on the field, and for us to truly enjoy the spectacle called half time, without the disruption of thousands of students that screamed and yelled during half time while ignoring the performance on the field (we would jokingly remark...HOW RUDE). Anyway, we loved watching games from the grassy hill end zone vantage point and being able to see the band at half time. Now with AJ graduated, we often walk over to that same area with fond memories.

Over the years, as we walked from our house to the stadium, we always thought that this area along the path would be perfect for a geocache. We decided to make this spot the one that is dedicated to AJ (Did you notice that the GC code has AJ in it! What luck!
