The cache is located near a tourist info board which also includes some interesting history. There are great views of Dover bay and I like seeing the islands Hope, Faith and Charity on a different angle.
Dover is a lovely seaside town. There are still some sea fisherman but many locals are now employed by fish farms. It's a good place to base yourself if you want to explore the far south. There are tourist attractions such as Hastings Caves and Pool, the Ida Bay railway and the Tahune Airwalk ( via Geeveston). Also access to plenty of short walks, like Duckhole Lake, Southport Lagoon, South Cape, Hartz Mt walks (via Geeveston). This summer I managed 8 walks and there are still more to do.
