This town park is a boat launch and was the site of Mt Waldo's granite carving and shipping operation during the 19th and early 20th centuries. It also is a nice place to sit and watch the waters mingle from Marsh Stream into the Penobscot. Borrowing from the former CO, dufzor, "please be aware that this was a huge facility and there are many pieces of rusty equipment, in unlikely locations, as well as lots of brown wire cables that are not easily seen. Walk with caution. For that reason, this cache is NOT recommended for children or people with mobility or balance issues,... Not recommended for night caching due to terrain, equipment, and parties and 'encounters' that go on here after dark." A belated Congrats to Unexpectediscoveries on the FTF!
