This is the first of a weekly series dedicated to Bagpuss. Episode one was first broadcast at 1:45 pm on Tuesday 12th February 1974.
Synopsis:
Emily finds a dirty bottle. When the mice clean it, they find it contains bits of wood and cloth, which Yaffle identifies as part of a ship. Gabriel sings a song about a ship crewed by mice and a duck, then Bagpuss thinks of a story about his sea-faring days, when he caught a mermaid and was shipwrecked. The ship is magically repaired, outside the bottle. Yaffle explains that the masts are foldable, so the mice put it back inside the bottle and drag it to the window.
Cache:
The cache is a small tube, a bit larger than a 35mm film canister. You will also need to find the method of retrieval, which is hidden in the same location. Please ensure that everything is replaced as you found it!
