Geocache Description:

This area is part of the City of New Bedford water supply constructed at the end of the civil war. It was New Bedford’s single largest and most expensive public works project of the 19th century. It is still one of finest public water supplies in the Northeast sourced from the largest natural complex of fresh-water ponds in the state. Take a few to walk around the area to appreciate the architecture and enjoy the view.

Lots of muggles travel this area, especially walking dogs so watch out for puppy bombs while looking for the cache. Congrats to YBLee for the FTF. Caching in the snow. Respect :-)
