Geocache Description:

A fun find in a one-of-a-kind container.

I was on a camping trip a few weeks ago with our Trail Life troop, and my good friend and geo-mentor from whitehousecachers.  We were discussing - what else - geocaching, and a particular cache container type came up.  "You can build those, you know", WHC said.  "Oh, really??" I responded....and the wheels started turning.  My family has a love for all things superhero, and it wasn't long before this brainchild was born.

I built this container without looking at any web articles, just pure ol' brain power.  I must admit, I'm quite impressed with how well it turned out.

The container is not hidden, other than being well off the beaten path.  It's almost as if it fell from the sky. This area has wildlife, I'm sure - possibly rabbits, foxes, snakes, etc. Please be mindful before you reach under anything!

Navigating to GZ

The easiest way to GZ is to head toward the direction of GZ from the parking waypoint. Stay to the east of the creek, and east of the old barbed-wire fence. You'll find a tree near the fence, adjacent to a fallen tree. This is the best place to cross the fence and make your way to GZ. Alternatively, you can start inside of the fence (the area is not enclosed) and make your way in. You'll be picking your way a little more with this approach. Entry is near a busy street, so be safe and mindful of watchful eyes. Final coordinates are not super precise, but you'll know the cache when you see it. (Favorite points are appreciated!)

Solving the Field Puzzle

The only trick is that you'll need to solve a riddle of sorts to determine the seven character combination in order to access the cache. You're looking for a proper name, and here are your two clues: “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” ― Stan Lee Capable of leveling mountains, the name also means "The Crusher" or "Grinder"

The Container

Please be careful with the container. I spent about three months off and on working on this, and in Earth's atmosphere, it's a little delicate. When setting the combination, be aware that the tumblers sometimes turn together. Make sure they are carefully aligned with the arrows when opening. If the container feels like it should open, but doesn't, gently turn the entire container on it's mount about 1/2" until it releases.

When replacing the container, gently place back on its mount (please do NOT drop it on the mount) and then scramble the tumblers. It should seat firmly against the mount at the bottom.

If you have any issues, please let me know so I can check and maintain this cache. I don't mind "Needs Maintenance" logs at all, or feel free to send me a message.
