This is a pleaseant drive through the country along a paved winding road. This is coal mining region. Eagarville was once a booming miner's town with several taverans, a grocery store, beauty shop, and other shops, a very neat post office. There used to be rows of small miner's houses, population of 400. Modern technology and envirnomental concerns distroyed the coal industry, nearly ruining this pleasant town. But there are still nice small houses, a park and beautiful scenery especially in the spring and the fall. There is a beautiful small lake also. It is a "short cut" to Benld, Gillespie, and Rt 16 if you can find your way.
The cache is a quick find for those who know this type of hide. It is magnetic cache that only holds the log so bring your own writing instrument. Please be careful of traffic. Because of the winding road and hills cars seem to appear out of nowhere. Please pull off onto the field road carefully. It can be muddy and there may be weeds.
