Kai Iwi Lakes has something for everyone! beautiful white sands, lakes filled with sparkling blue water, a camp site and nearby walks for all abilities.
The cache is hidden at what was the original track entrance, now I have updated the cache page to include a waypoint to the new Walkway start.
Thankfully other landowners have allowed walkers to cross their farm land, allowing access to Ripiro Beach and the Tasman Sea from Kai Iwi Lakes.
At the beach, turn left, and you will be rewarded with a small waterfall from the Ureti Stream, golden sands and rolling surf where the waves hit the shore.
