On Friday, 1/22/2016, we went to an event called, “So Long and Thanks for All the Caches” (GC69C4A) at the Colonial Inn in historic Concord. 8ManAfter was leaving Massachusetts to live in New Zealand and this was his farewell party.
When we arrived 8ManAfter gave everyone a small pill bottle that contained a pair of dice. The challenge was create a geocache puzzle using the dice. Bugsy was able to quickly create this one:
One day Louisa May was walking not far from Orchard House, her family home, near Concord Center. She was intrigued when she noticed a glint of light reflected from a small metal box cleverly tucked into the stone wall. Inside the box was a note that read, "If you look behind the wall, you will find a small container with some unique dice. Use them to calculate the treasure's location."
Peering behind the wall, she soon located the pill bottle. There were two dice and another note. One die was a red six-sided type she was familiar with except the pips had been replaced with the words: one, two, three, etc. and the other was a blue dodecagon. The blue die had letters starting with “A” which she guessed must be the same as “one”.
The note said, use the dice in this container to solve the puzzle and locate the treasure:
N42 27.ABC W71 20.DEF
A = The largest number of the three letter numbers on the red die minus the smallest of the three letter blue numbers.
B = When the numbers on the blue die are spelled out, take the largest of the three letter blue numbers spelled out and subtract the larger of the four letter red numbers.
C = The largest of the three letter numbers on the red die.
D = The highest of the four letter blue numbers spelled out minus the sum of the other four letter blue numbers.
E = The middle of the five letter numbers on the blue die.
F = the largest of the five letter red numbers minus the smaller of the five letter blue numbers.
Hint and a slight offset provided by Certitude when you input the correct coordinates.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
