The geocache is a 1.2L clip-lock container in a camo bag, hidden in Itchen Valley Country Park, with the kind permission of the Countryside Service of Eastleigh Borough Council. There are swaps, a logbook with pencil, and plenty of room for Travel Bugs. Wellies will be needed in wet weather.
Venue:-
The venue has a visitor's centre with cafe, a number of picnic sites with seats and tables, childrens play areas, and nature trails with seats and amusements for kids. The venue is child and dog friendly, most areas are buggie friendly, wellies will be needed in wet weather. The paths are a mixture of hard gravel, cut and uncut grass, woodland, and open grass. Most areas are level, but there is a gentle hill with good views in the eastmost field.
Geocache:-
The geocache is hidden at the base of a fir tree, to the side of the high track around the enclosed reservoir. Watch out for foxes. I have never met any muggles here. No short cuts from the main fields to here, there is fencing, please do not cross, but it's a pleasant walk.
