At this view point is a plaque about the Town of Golden's History. The Famous Columbia River is on the flats on the other side of the town, and the Kicking Horse River flows just at he bottom of this hill and through the town of Golden. Why we have called this cache "Home of the Duchess" This is where she used to sail up and down the Columbia River by Captain Frank P. Armstrong.
