Geocache Description:

Lanarkshire seems to be full of musically themed caches, but when Abba's 'Waterloo' was placed somewhere other than Waterloo we realised that we could go one better. A tribute, let's say, to Shane MacGowan's teeth. Dearly departed and sorely missed. Please bring a pen...

Okay, so we can't claim to be Pogues' fans, but when we saw the name Sodom Hill, we couldn't resist. Apparently an important historical spot. Covenanter battles took place here and the maps show a 'Double Dykes' fort. St Patrick's Well is also close to ground zero.

The cache sits in a Site of Specific Scientific Interest. More than usual, please follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. We have included a parking waypoint. From there follow the trailhead waypoint to get you into the field and simply follow the edge of the field to its end, where a little path disappears into the woods. There were no livestock in the field at the time of placing but this may not be the case all year round. Please don't bring any geodogs or fearties. The coords were averaged over quite a period of time, but the trees were bare. For this reason the technology may be flummoxed at other times of the year and the clue is a very specific one.
