El Lugar
El Parque Nacional Monte León es un área protegida federal situada sobre el litoral marítimo de la provincia de Santa Cruz, en la Patagonia Argentina. Constituye una muestra representativa de la biodiversidad de la estepa y costa patagónica en buen estado de conservación, con sitios de valor paleontológico. Cuenta con una superficie de 61 700 ha; además posee 36 km de costas sobre el mar Argentino.
Área compuesta de altos acantilados, islas, roqueríos, pequeñas bahías y playas restingas que se descubren con la bajamar. El sector costero representa cerca del 1% del litoral marítimo argentino. El mar en esta región es frío, con una importante población de peces. El Parque Nacional cuenta con colonias de cormoranes, gaviotines, pingüinos y otras 20 especies de aves costeras y marinas. Desde la costa, ocasionalmente, se pueden observar apostaderos de lobos marinos de un pelo y cetáceos, como la ballena franca austral.
Hay una importante colonia de pingüinos magallánicos, compuesta por 60 000 individuos. Es la 4ª colonia en importancia del país. Las parejas cada año migran para buscar su nido.
En la isla Monte León y en los acantilados encuentran refugio y nidifican 3 especies de cormoranes: el roquero, el gris y el imperial.
Uno de los motivos de la creación del Parque, es proteger una porción importante de estepa patagónica costera, hábitat de guanacos, choiques, zorros y pumas.
The Place
The Monte León National Park is a federal protected area located on the coastline of the province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia, Argentina. It constitutes a representative sample of the biodiversity of the Patagonian steppe and coast in good state of conservation, with paleontological value. It has an area of 61 700 ha; also it has 36 km of coastline on the Argentine Sea.
Area composed of high cliffs, islands, rocks, small bays and beaches that are discovered restingas at low tide. The coastal sector represents about 1% of the Argentine coast. The sea in this region is cold, with a large population of fish. The National Park has colonies of cormorants, terns, penguins and 20 species of coastal and marine birds. From the coast, occasionally, you can see the sea lions of a hair and cetaceans, like the southern right whale.
There is a large colony of Magellanic penguins, composed of 60,000 individuals. It is the 4th largest in the country colony. Couples each year migrate to find its nest.
Monte León island and find refuge in the cliffs and 3 species of cormorants nesting: rocker, gray and imperial.
One of the reasons for the creation of the park is to protect a significant portion of coastal steppe habitat of guanacos, rheas, foxes and pumas.

Cuando buscar el cache
En Argentina el Geocaching todavía no es tan popular como en otros países, y es común que los geomuggles roben los cachés por simple diversión. Por lo tanto, busca y recoge el cache cuando nadie esté mirando, siempre intenta pasar desapercibido. y luego deja el caché tal y como lo hayas encontrado!
Estos Caches estan en lugares de dificil acceso, si vas a buscarlo, lleva uno de repuesto para reponerlo si es que ha desaparecido, asi, con tu ayuda, evitaremos que se pierda!, gracias desde ya!!
