This cache is a reincarnation of the original Elouera Geocache, which was archived in 2013.
"Elouera" (pronounced 'Ell - Lou - Era') is an aboriginal word meaning "Pleasant Place".
It is situated in bushland in the Elouera Reserve at Dural, NSW, and can be accessed either from the Elouera Estate off New Line Road, Dural, or from james Henty Oval in Dural.
It is hidden in light bushland and there is no really obvious trail to follow, but there are remnants of former footpaths through the bushland.
If you come from the James Henty side, there are 2 creeks to cross, and the rocks at the creek edge can be slippery, and after heavy rain, you are likely to get wet. There should be no need to cross water if you enter via Elouera Estate, but the muggle rating will be higher, now that the estate has extended right to the edge of the bush.
There are many open sandstone shelves that you'll traverse on your quest, and many different species of old-forest gum trees to admire including some spectacular Blackbutts and Salmon Gums .
This one is probably not suitable for the really small geo-kids, but most aged 7 or up will enjoy the challenge.
Enjoy the search!
