Wharncliffe Memorial Traditional Cache

This cache is placed near the site of a memorial to the 58 men who lost their lives in the Wharncliffe Woodmoor Colliery disaster on Thursday 6th August 1936. 57 men died on that day and another died a few days later. Please take time to read the notice board.

The plaque and new memorial site was unveiled on 6th May 2008. THE CACHE IS NOT ON ANY PART OF THE MEMORIAL. but not far away
