This ammo can geocache is located on the Rocky Barrens Conservation area. It is placed under MDC permit. It will be necessary to hike nearly a mile from the parking coords. You will hike mainly on trails but they are not flip-flop trails. Expect ticks, chiggers, thorns since you are on a conservation area. Conservation areas are closed from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
This ammo can is painted bright purple and green and I'm told it glows in the dark. The paint job is by Promethium and the cache was a trade item at the OMG New Year's Eve event. Promethium likes hiker caches - so here it is. You can follow the rock or mowed trails to get to this one and then there will be 50 feet or so of bushwhacking. After you find the cache, take time to congratulate yourself and then try not to think too much about the hike out!
