This is a series of caches about old sayings. I was born and raised in Texas. I was surrounded by family and friends that had all sorts of interesting sayings for things. Where else to share old country sayings? Why, the country, of course! I hope you enjoy finding the caches in this series as much as I enjoyed remembering the loved ones that said them. "I am thankful everytime I remember you"
"Honey, it's as cold as a well diggers ear out there!" I'd never heard that before my grandpa said it, and actually havent heard anyone else say it, either. He was a man who never cussed, and I didnt know that there is a more profane version of this saying until researching it. When driving down this road, I saw the pumpjacks and this saying was what came into my mind. There was snow everywhere from the February 2016 snowstorm that dumped 12-14 inches across the Tri State area. It was certainly cold out that day.
Be very careful when pulling off the road. You never know when someone else may not be paying attention.
Do not cross any fences, the cache is not on private property. Watch out for critters, always look before sticking your hand anywhere or use a stick. Please bring your own pen.Replace log as needed, if container is missing, message or email me. Have fun, and above all, Be Safe! Congratulations to Geocaching Granny 3 on the FTF!
