UPDATE TO ORIGINAL HIDE DESCRIPTION BELOW!
This is a little rest stop, that back in the 70's, when my dad was just a kid, was quite popular. He tells of this being the public bathroom, for changing and rinsing off, after going to Okeechobee's swimming beach. Just on the other side of the dike, was once a roped off swimming area. Folks would come here for the day, have picnic lunches, swim or play on the beach, or fish from the pier or canal banks. A much simpler time. Seems like none of that is happening anymore.
The bathrooms were recently razed, and only the one picnic pavilion remains. On the other side of the hill is a new, modernized park, complete with restrooms, paved parking, and more picnic tables, although none of them are covered.
The cache is a camo'd micro hanging from a host. Log only, so BYOP.
Also, please take that extra moment to zip the baggie back up, and screw the cap back on tight, so everyone has the same, fun geocaching experience you did finding this cache. Thanks.
UPDATE: Since the original hide, this are has gone through some changes. The pictures below show what the spot looked like when the cache was hidden, and the changes that have taken place to make the area what it looks like now. We sure do miss what once was.
