Geocache Description:

An easy find along a country road near the pretty town of Almonte.

There are a few of these historical landmarks in Ramsay Township but this was the easiest and safest place to hide a geocache. These landmarks were originally erected by a group of students at Naismith Memorial Public School in the 1970s. Although I was not part of the small team, my friends spent hours researching the landmarks and then creating the signs.  In 2017 most of the signs were finally replaced. Not as charming as the original signs but they are not eyesores anymore.
