I thought it would be fun to have an event as early as possible on the 29th to welcome it in. I also thought it would be fun to do something a bit silly - although CLIMBING THE TREE IS OPTIONAL. We'll hang the cache from a rope that can be lowered or something. All welcome.
Event runs 28th 23:45 to 29th 00:15 (30 minutes) so that we can see the new day in.
I wonder how many people we can get up the tree at once?
Some may remember I have a penchant for events at awkward times of day. While we had muggles around at Every second counts - 30 June 2015 23:59:60 UTC I don't believe this park is known for that type of shenanigans. It's also a whole hour earlier as we don't need to worry about what time we get the extra period, as this time it's a whole extra day not just an extra second.
