Geocache hidden along the new Mohawk River Trail.
This cache is one of a number along the new Mohawk River Trail. It is a paved trail that follows the Mohawk River thru Rome. You may make a big loop to find the caches hidden on both sides of the river...using the street bridges to cross to the other side of the river. The loop starts at the trail head off of Chestnut Street and goes down the river - crosses Floyd Avenue and brings you out on to Culverton Road. You then follow the road/river trail ..crossing the bridge and then take a right onto East Bloomfield and then right again onto Harding Blvd. This will bring you to a trail head that is not paved to bring you back up the river... crossing over Floyd Avenue again ...picking up the trail behind the apartment complex - back up to Chestnut Street and over that bridge to the parking area and your vehicle.
This cache is the beginning of the loop. Please use stealth this is a very used trail.
