Srijem County Palace was built in Late Baroque style during 1771-1777 period. The facade of this building is rich with stylish decorations and in the middle of high tympanum there is the coat of arms of Srijem County that was awarded to the Vukovar town by the Empress Maria Theresa in 1747.
The building is connected with the Palace of District Area that was built between 1889 and 1902. The whole complex is registered as A Category Heritage Site. During the Battle of Vukovar the entire complex was heavily devastated and after the war the complex was rebuilt in its original appearance.
