Geocache Description:

Named after a famous phrase uttered by Sherlock Holmes this cache is placed near Liberton Bank House where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stayed for a while during the 1860s.

Liberton Bank House survives as a relic of the ancient "town" of Nether Liberton. It continued to be used as a domestic residence until 1993 and then became part of the Cameron Toll Shopping area. It became derelict in 1998 and was due to demolished to make way for a fast food restaurant when it was saved and is now run by the Dunedin School. The house and garden are private but feel free to look over the wall and admire the beautifully carved "hound" statue and the well laid out garden.

There is amply parking nearby, but the cache is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. Cache contains FTF badge goodies and TB which would like to travel around Europe.
