Geocache Description:

Over the last 60 years I have travelled to this old town of Inneston

It is situated in Innes National Park.

Today I placed my last cache in this area.

As I love old ruins I thought the town of Inneston deserved to have a cache in this series " A Touch Of The Past"

It gives the cacher a true feel on what it was like to live in the town and what life would have been like for our ancestors.

Close to this cache and behind you on the hill, you will see a large house with a huge Pine at the front.

My Father who lived here as a child during the 2nd World War said that it had been planted by the Mine managers wife when she came out from England to get married .

You can see over the whole town and lake.

To your left of the engineers house further towards the entrance use to be a golf course.

Today the mallee vegetation has taken over once more.

Kangaroos and emus are seen often and if you stay in this area it is very peaceful.

You are looking for small container with logbook and pencil.

Please replace with camo as found.

Take care Ticks from kangaroos [non paralizing] and snakes maybe in area .
