You have been sent a mission brief from Chief Inspector Clouseau, it is dated 1968, and appears that it was lost in the mail, and is only reaching you now, but the case may still be solved.
It involves the royal birdie num-nums, Clouseau was lucky enough to glimpse these num-nums in 1968 at "the party"

MISSION STATEMENT

A great disaster has occurred in the bird kingdom. The royal num-nums, inherited by and now belonging to Sir Flapjack the always-been-fat, king of the Doves, have been stolen. The num-nums were a beautifully clear with some twirly colours within them, and the doves believed them to be magic
It is speculated that their arch enemies, the Pigeons, sent two members of their famed NAPS (ninja assassin pigeon squad) to steal them. They were in and out of the Palace of Twigs in a flash, but fortunately, a drunk dove in the nearby gutter saw them make their escape. He has provided an eyewitness report and profiles have been drawn up of the suspects, links to these profiles are at the bottom of this mission report.
It is feared that the pigeons stashed the num-nums in a secret location and then set off in different directions, luckily there have been some sightings of pigeons matching their description recently.
Unbeknown to the pigeons, the num-nums had been charmed. Any who eat of them and did not have royal dove blood running through their veins shall have their wings turn to bark within the hour. It is highly likely these pigeons ate some of the num-nums as they are very tasty, so they probably have not gotten far.
Your mission is to find the num-nums. To do this, you will need to find and interrogate the ninja assassins. Each pigeon will only know half of the position of where they stashed their loot because they don’t trust each other enough to let either one know the full position.
