Geocache Description:

Geocache is near a Kentucky historical Marker describing routes during the Civil War.
It is a medium sized container large enough for trackables and SWAG.

This area was an important passageway for Union and Confederate forces. Union forces moved along Poor Fork and the Confederates moved along the Clover Fork of the Cumberland River; each route reflected local sentiment.

In February of 1862 Union forces under Brig. Gen. T. T. Garrard, grandson of Ky.'s second governor, camped here.

Later CSA troops under Gen. H. Marshall camped here.
