A boardwalk was completed in 2012 to provide easier access and a convenient viewing platform for observing this hidden waterfall. Many people probably drive by here without even knowing about the falls. Here is how a local historian described this site: "What you've found is Cedar Mill Falls on Cedar Mill Creek, the site of the mill from which the creek got its name. The mill was built in 1855 by Justis Jones and son John Henry Jones. The waterfall provided the power via an ‘overshot’wheel.” There is a historic marker on the wooden bridge.
