Once upon a time there were three little wizard bears. Their names were Beary Potter, Bearmonie Granger and Ron Bearsly. They were best friends. They had a hard year at school but now it was summer break and they were anxious to find new adventures.
Ron had received a magical GPS wand for his birthday and the three friends were learning to use it in some new ways. This is how they discovered the wonderful hobby of geocaching.
One day, they decided to use stealth to enter the forbidden forest in search of some trinkets hidden near a secret tree. They took their three headed geodog Toe-toe with them to aid in the search.
While they were searching, a huge nor'easter came up, catching their wizard cloaks in it's windy clutches and flung the three little bears high into the air, tossing them to and fro, and scaring them worse than the evil U-no-hoo or any wicked (red shoe wearing) witch ever could.
Even using Pig-Wart magic could not stop this storm.
When they finally landed, they were at what seemed to be a small Emerald Grove, very close to some spooky looking dead trees, far from the forbidden forests of Hennepin County.
"My coordinates are off!" said Ron. "Oh, Toe-toe, I don't think we are in Minneapolis anymore."
Bearmonie, (the know-it-all of the trio) said "No, this definitely looks like Mississippi River Park in Anoka. Look -- You can see the Mississippi river from here!"
Beary replied "We seem to have landed in the Wonderful Land of Ahhhs"
"Arf, arf" - agreed their geodog Toe-toe, sniffing the ground for the geo-treasure.
The cache they are seeking is a large "emerald green" container, clearly marked.
Munchkins and gremlins are encouraged to come along!
This cache originally contained things chosen by the boys especially for this cache in a "magical supplies" store....
Along with some regular cache goodies chosen by mom for "non-magic" muggle folks....
Please *liberally* spray yourself with a strong repellant for both flying monkeys and flying keys, and all the other little evil creatures who might attempt to attack you.
To get to this this magical cache, take Yellow Brick Highway #10 to Cutters Avenue (intersection by the Kame-art "flying broom" shop) -- the entrance to the park is on the right -- easy to miss -- check your map carefully for the correct turn off to this park.
Paved parking -- paved trails, nice fishing dock, but sorry - no poppy fields.
*NOTE - MapQuest map shows cache is out of park -- this is wrong, that whole area is still park property, cache is hidden IN the park, within the paved county trail system.
So finally, our heros found the Magical Cache of Ahhs, traded trinkets, logged their find,
..... and they all lived happily ever after.
The End
Note that my GPS readings fluxuated in this area quite a bit due to cover, check logs for other readings and hints
