Geocache Description:

I'll make no apologies for the bad pun - I borrowed it from another cacher in another part of Britain because I liked the idea.

Saturday 19th March 2016 - 10.30am-11.30am. Albert Promenade, Halifax.

Yes the coordinates are correct - the venue is the middle of a road. But it's OK, there are bollards in the middle of the road at GZ - its not a through road. Those bollards mean plenty of parking at GZ, giving us other options in case of rain.

Geocaching is all about getting outdoors and having fun in the fresh air. So, the idea here is that instead of meeting in a pub or cafe (which is usually fun, don't get me wrong), we can return to the Great Outdoors and attendees can bring a flask. And given that its March, maybe a jumper, a hat, a scarf, gloves and a blanket. But then again its Britain and by then it might be warm - who knows?!

Oh and did I mention cake? Cake always goes well with a cuppa. I'll provide a few bits, and other contributions will be gratefully accepted. My thinking is that donations can be made in exchange for the cake (not essential of course). Donations which will then be passed to the Yorkshire Mega 10th Anniversary team.

Dogs are welcome (mine will be attending). Children are welcome (though will need to be watched a little bit given the fact there is still a road here even if its a dead end, and there are also small cliffs nearby).

I've picked this venue because it has always been one of my favourite parts of Halifax. Lovely views can be had from here and its a lovely place for a walk. There are a few caches located a short walk from here, and maybe more might be added.
