Calshot conundrum is a small cache placed in one of my favourite places in the area. So many people use the spit for different activities both in and out of the water and on a sunny day, there isn’t really a better place to spend the afternoon (Or evening! :)).
There is plenty to do on the spit, visiting Calshot castle, walking along the beach, participating in a large number of outdoor activities and of course treating yourself to a cream tea in the cafe!
The cache itself is located towards the end of the spit near Calshot activities center, which is one of the largest residential outdoor centres on the South coast of England. The center was built in 1963 and occupies the world war two hangers used for flying boats. Why not visit the center and try a new sport? The main hanger itself is home to a Velodrome, Climbing wall and indoor ski/snowboard slope! - check out their website for more details.
The cache was placed with the kind permission of the activities center and is quite a popular muggle location so you must employ your best stealth tactics!
Please abide by the Hants council geocaching guidelines when hunting around the GZ (Including no caching in the dark please!) - http://www3.hants.gov.uk/hampshire-countryside/gps/geocaching.htm
The container can be a little tricky, so take care when removing and replacing the log! You should only need your fingertips to open the container and there is a little helping hand to remove the log if needed
