Geocache Description:

There is no geocache or telescope at GZ. However, there are plenty of globes.

When the lights were turned off, 5 people were asked to comment on the Sky Quality. No meters were used. Their comments were passed on to others for comparison (see the dot points). As you can see, different people see different things, and this is not only true when you look for a cache with a friend!

Looking to the South

· clouds are illuminated in the directions of the light sources, dark overhead

· the sky is light grey or orange - I can easily read

· I can’t see anything with my sunnies on

· clouds are brightly lit

· I can easily see M33 with naked eye!

Looking to the East

· clouds are illuminated near the horizon, it's dark overhead

· light pollution is visible in most, if not all, directions

· the Milky Way is invisible

· the only objects I can see are the Moon, the planets, and a few of the brightest star clusters

· even with my telescope, only bright Messier objects can be detected
