Ganei Yehoshua is named for Yehoshua Rabinowitz- who was head of the municipality 1969-1964, and later was finance minister. The garden is a landscaped garden, so much so that it's hard to remember that he is also a memorial. All the names of all the fallen from Tel-Aviv in Israels wars are commemorated here on black marble columns which look like large flares in the dark. Marble columns stand in groups of three or four, grouped by periods and wars.
