Limestone was quarried here. There are a number of nearby footpaths, including part of Offa's Dyke Way. A walk up Selattyn Hill leads you to https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCKZ0H_mr-crewes-folly and there is also a Trig point there that can be logged at https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC45CC_ye-ole-survey-monuments-wroxall-down .
Selattyn Hill has a chequered history, having been an early Bronze Age ring-cairn and a look-out post by members of the Local Defence Force Volunteers in the Second World War. More information can be found here: http://www.shropshirehistory.org.uk/html/search/verb/GetRecord/theme:20090313101339
