Valentinovo
Valentinovo ali praznik svetega Valentina se praznuje 14. februarja in je tradicionalni dan, ko si v nekaterih kulturah zaljubljenci izkazujejo ljubezen - največkrat s pošiljanjem voščilnic (pogosto anonimnih) in izmenjavo daril. Praznik svetega Valentina se je sprva praznoval kot rimskokatoliški dan posta v čast svetemu Valentinu. Današnji pomen je dobil šele po visokem srednjem veku, ko se je razvila zamisel o romantični ljubezni.
Prvo pričevanje o povezanosti dne svetega Valentina z romantično ljubeznijo sega v 14. stoletje, ko so v Angliji in Franciji 14. februar označevali kot dan, ko se ženijo ptički. V tej dobi so si ljubimci takrat izmenjevali pisemca in se imenovali za valentine. Verjetno je, da marsikatera legenda o svetem Valentinu izhaja prav iz tega časa, kjer se kot datum svetnikovega mučeništva pojavlja 14. februar.
Valentinov zaklad
Kot geolovca sva se na letošnje valentinovo odpravila na lov za zakladkom z valentinovo tematiko. Vendar pa ga nisva v bližini nikjer zasledila in sva se zato odločila dan preživeti ne z iskanjem, ampak postavljanjem tovrstnega zaklada. Ta cache je namenjen vsem, ki imajo radi geocaching ter vsem, ki geocachajo s tistimi, ki jih imajo radi.
Da bi proslavili praznik ljubezni in zabeležili trenutke z ljudmi, ki jih imamo najraje, smo v zakladek priložili fotoaparat. Najditelje vabimo, da tako tudi s sliko zabeležijo tukajšnji obisk. Lastnika bosta nato razvite slike objavila na strani zaklada v galeriji, kjer pa lahko nekatere že najdete.
Pri močnejšem deževju lahko bližnji potok poplavi, iz tega razloga je dodan atribut May require wading, zahtevnost terena pa se potemtakem tudi dvigne.
V škatlici se poleg predmetov za menjavo in logbooka nahaja še fotoaparat in par rekvizitov, ki jih lahko uporabite ob slikanju.
Prosimo, da zaklad skrijete tako kot ste ga našli, skrbno zavijete fotoaparat ter logbook zložite kot dobljen. Navodila za uporabo fotoaparata so napisana ob njem (če še ni, je potrebno fotoaparat pred uporabo naviti).

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is an annual holiday celebrated on February 14. In some
cultures it has become a traditional day for lovers to show their love for each other - mostly by
sending cards (often anonymously) and exchanging gifts. Saint Valentine's Day was originally
celebrated as a Roman Catholic day of fasting in honor of Saint Valentine. The beginnings of the
modern interpretation reach back to the High Middle Ages when the idea of romantic love was born.
The first testimony of the connection between Saint Valentine's Day and romantic love goes back to
the 14th century when people in England and France started celebrating this holiday by exchanging
notes and letters. It's likely that many legends of St. Valentine originated from this period because
14th February is often referred to as the date of St. Valentine's martyrdom.
Valentine's Day Cache
As geocachers we decided to spend this 14th February searching for a Valentine's day themed
cache. When we couldn't find one we decided to spend the day making one instead. This cache is
intended for everyone who loves to geocache and everyone who geocaches with the ones they love.
To celebrate this occasion and the moments spent with the people we love, we added a camera to
the cache. We invite all geocachers to record their visit here with a picture. The owners will then post
the developed pictures to the gallery of this page, where you can already find some of them.
During heavy rainfall the nearby creek may flood hence we added the attribute May require wading. The terrain difficulty may also increase.
In addition to the logbook and trading items the cache also contains a camera and a few items (not
meant for trade) you can use while taking your picture.

Please hide the cache like you found it, make sure to carefully wrap the camera and to return
the logbook the way you found it. The instructions (English ones as well) for using the camera are written on a note
next to the camera (if it's not already, the camera must be wound up before use).
