Geocache Description:

Cache is located near a rare desert find. When we're in the desert we always keep an eye out for these unique Saguaro mutants. They are officially called Crested Saguaros, but as kids we called them Fan Tops. It's always a thrill to find another one.

The cache is just off the 96 Ranch Road. This is a well maintained dirt road, accessible by most standard vehicles. During rainy season the road may be too muddy for 2-wheel drive access.

The cache is on Arizona State Trust land which requires a Recreational Permit ($15 individual, $20 family). These permits are valid for one year from the date of purchase. More information and applications are available online at: https://land.az.gov/recreational-permit-portal
