Geocache Description:

Forensic science is the application of science to criminal and civil laws. Forensic scientists collect, preserve, and analyse scientific evidence during the course of an investigation. While some forensic scientists travel to the scene to collect the evidence themselves, others occupy a purely laboratory role, performing analysis on objects brought to them by other individuals.

Dear Agent

Your assistance is required in order to solve a mysterious crime. A body was found in Settlers Park, Port Elizabeth, earlier today and it is suspected that there might be more than one victim. Our behaviour analyst believes that based on the crime scene investigation and other clues that a serial killer is at large.

We have also received an anonymous email that contains pieces of a photo and some sort of cipher that was within the body of the email. Below is the email as received.

As a renowned forensic investigator, and with access to the technology and latest techniques for analysing images, we kindly ask that you investigate the photo and cipher with great attention to detail and let us know your findings. It is key that we catch the perpetrator as soon as possible and in the process collect as much evidence as possible to ensure a successful prosecution. Please also let us know if you find a location for the suspect by adding it in the checker below.

Kind Regards
