This is a series based on the ancient Irish townland system and while the places chosen may seem a little random, they all mean something to me.
A magnetic nano container with only a log so BYOP. Parking is available. There is a high level of muggles at certain times of the day so be discreet. Please return exactly where found.
The Townland of Corporation is in the Parish of Armagh in the Barony of Armagh in The County Of Armagh.
It measures 1096.61 acres making it the 19th largest townland in County Armagh.
It is bordered by Ballyheridan, Ballynahone More, Cavanacaw, Drumadd, Drumarg, Drumcarn, Legarhill, Longstone, Lurgyvallen, Mullynure, Parkmore and Tullyelmer.
Features include virtually the entire City of Armagh!
Corporation has been chosen because it is the townland where I spent a large part of my teenage years. I attended the Royal School and Armagh Tech for seven years. Then I returned after a year of college in England to work in a well known furniture shop in the city for 6 months. I learned to drive and passed my test here. And once I had a car, the legendary Armagh socials at the Orange Hall were a common source of entertainment and disappointment! My third car, a red Ford Mondeo, was bought from the now closed Joshua White's. Then there was all the shopping trips with Mum, footie on the mall, the cinema and many other memories of this great city.
