In celebration of Indiana’s 2016 Bicentennial, 15 geocaches have been placed throughout St. Joseph County near historic sites or places of interest. It is our goal to highlight interesting areas in the county, as well as to introduce new cachers to the hobby.
Joshua Tree Earth & Space Museum is dedicated to the natural history of the earth and its solar system. This gem, in the small town of Lakeville, has an astounding collection of rocks, aritfacts, minerals, meteorites, fulgurites, fossils, crystals and minerals of every color and shape. It is owned by Terry and Susan Boswell, who have traveled the world and spent a lifetime collecting the contents of the museum, including an amazing articulated fulgurite from Arizona that covers some 150 square feet of floor space! Plan your geocaching hunt during the museum hours of 10 AM to 6 PM daily for an unbelievable treat! Free admission.
Be sure the cache is concealed well when replacing it! The cache is handicap-accessible with the use of a grab stick.
