Geocache Description:

This one is for the older kids - a challenging letterbox

The above coordinates are bogus. To get the correct co-ordinates you must read the stage one description

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS CACHE.

This is a challenging letterbox hybrid that incorporates two features of the original letterboxes - multiple stages and pacing.  You will need to utilize other geocaching skills as well.

Stage 1 -. Due to the loss of information from a stage , the correct co-ordinates for stage 1 are : N 32 56.826 W 111 25.316. Stage one is a micro.  It will take you to stage 2 .

It is recommended that you walk to stage 2 and 3 from the parking co-ordinates

Stage 2- When you arrive at stage 2 you will NOT find a container - it is a virtual stage.  You need to do a projection ( the starting point will be obvious).   Projection is      138 paces using the STANDARD MILITARY PACE at 313° (TRUE NORTH).    This will take you to stage 3.

Stage 3 - At the endpoint of your projection you will find a physical container with the final co-ordinates.  But you will need to do a geocaching task here to proceed to the final.  The container is a large micro.

Stage 4 - FINAL LOCATION  The physical letterbox is at this location but you will need a TOTT to retrieve the log sheet.  Please handle the final container gently to avoid damaging the mechanism.  DO NOT add any swag to this cache.  It does have a stamp and logsheet but no stamp pad .  Please follow the instructions inside the cache when replacing it.

We found that by placing the final co-ordinates into our automobile GPS - it increased the driving distance to the final but took us the safest route around all the canal systems.  This is highly recommended and is easily accessible by any 2WD vehicle when dry.  If it is wet, a short walk will get  you to the final location which is off road.

The first 3 stages are near the Coolidge airport.  Please do not go near the runways or any other airport structures as all the stages are not located near any restricted areas.  It is recommended that you walk to stage 2 and 3.

This is the Arizona desert so warch for things that poke, bite or sting.
