Geocache Description:

W3Schools.com

One of the many facets of Elvis' life is the fact that he grew up in poverty, made his way to stardom, and never lost his roots.

W3Schools.com

From 1948 through 1953, Elvis and his parents, Vernon and Gladys, lived in the nearby building, which at the time was a housing project call Lauderdale Courts. Who would have known this child of the ghetto would grow to be the King of Rock and Roll? In Mac Davis' song, Elvis brings out the spirit of struggle and charity by breaking from a vicious cycle that could have easily been his fate. Throughout his life, he remained a charitable man.
